A Bit About Me

I grew up in Katy, TX. Always wanted to work with my hands. I would take things apart and put them back together. I enjoyed puzzles. But not just the little cardboard shapes. Anything that made my brain rattle. It is like I could see how things are put together in my head. A diagram of all the parts before integrating them together. Things just made sense to me. I started working on cars when I was 15. There was a shop at school where I would have automotive class. I went on to working in automotive shops, repairing vehicles. I loved it. I did that for 8 years before moving to Austin, TX when I was in my early 20's. This is where my welding career started. I decided to try something different. Instantly fell in love with the trade. The satisfaction of building and/or repairing a fabrication was more than what I had experienced when working on cars. I worked in shops and built things from plasma cutting tables to boat docks, then ended up doing structural steel for the rest of my welding career. I went to Austin Community College and that is where I learned about welding inspection. I figured, I know about welding, this should be easy! However, it was not. There was so much to it. More than I thought there would be. I continued to study and learn everything I can from my teacher and mentors. I ended with an Associates Degree in Welding Inspection. Following that I took the CWI exam and now I have been focusing on getting familiar with different industries. I am currently in Freeport, TX. My wife and I moved here for work. I am working at a chemical plant out in Alvin, TX. I am very passionate about integrity and doing the right thing. No matter how small of a job it is, even if its a 4 inch weld bead, I treat it as if it was going to support a 100ft tall building. I am thorough, professional, and transparent. I am not afraid of failure, without failure, I will not succeed.
